Clothing E-Commerce Site Business Plan
Opportunity
Problem
Women love the outdoors as much as men. They are capable of hunting, hiking, fishing and many other outdoor activities. Why should men be denied all the joy? Women don’t like ugly clothes, corsets and tools that rely on men’s strength. Women are just as equal to men. They do not have to be the exact same as men.
Solution
Liquid Culture will offer creative women’s outdoor clothing, online, that is both functional and beautiful. Larry Wilson and Maggie Granger will co-own Liquid Culture. A third-party company, Magic Clothing Company (which handles all manufacturing and shipping to customers), will ensure a cost-effective operation. Liquid Culture processes the order online and collects the payment. Magic Clothing Company will fill the order and ship it. Liquid Culture will focus on clothing design and marketing of its products.
Market
The market for women’s outdoor clothing has grown to become a $1 billion industry. Online shopping has made it easy to find a variety of outdoor wear for women. But, there is no online store that only sells women’s apparel. Yet.
The key is amplified word of mouth via social media, with emphasis on content and opinion leaders related to outdoor fashion and women’s health and women fitness sites.
Our message will stress the importance of not making compromises and elevating our Liquid Culture brand. Our website will not be complete without social media.
Competition
- These are the major online outdoor brands for women, such as Columbia, Patagonia or LLBean.
- Amazon.com, as well as other major retailers of generalized clothes, also sell outdoor clothing for ladies.
- We also offer competitions for women, including titlenine.com.
