The Magnolia Inn is a lovely facility perched on a hill overlooking Half Moon Bay California’s Pacific Ocean. The Inn features seven rooms each individually furnished with an antique theme. We are a complete bed & breakfast Inn that serves a complimentary full-service breakfast to each guest every morning. Magnolia’s goal market strategy is to become a destination of choice among professional couples in San Francisco Bay who are looking for a place where they can recharge and relax. We will also reach out to the newly married couple seeking that special getaway. It will be important for us to be visible to those potential guests who are traveling on Highway 101 through Half Moon Bay.

Magnolia will be displaying an attractive sign to inform potential customers and passers-by about our existence. We will market our Inn using the Yellow Pages and an Internet Web page which will focus only on the best features. The rooms will all be displayed with their own decor. Outside views of the Pacific Ocean and beautiful gardens will also be shown. The Inn will display information about nearby attractions, including room rates and directions. The Magnolia is confident that it will not take long to build a following that will put us at full capacity within the next year. The Inn is looking for steady growth at over 90% capacity, and profits that grow at 10%.

Jim Anderson and Nancy Anderson live in Magnolia year round. They are the owners of the Magnolia and oversee all aspects. The Inn has a small staff that includes a cook, and a maid. The cook will work 20 hour a week while the maid will stay on the payroll for 40 hours. Nancy will also need the maid to help her take reservations and supervise the front desk. Nancy will be responsible for the inside operations, working alongside the cook and maid. She also takes reservations. Jim will take care of grounds maintenance and transport guests in the van. Nancy and Jim will promote the inn and manage the advertising.
