We are poised to enter a lucrative market in a developing country. Baby Nappies World sees a great opportunity to penetrate the market for baby nappies and other sanitary pads with a population fertility rate of 4.2 child . Baby Nappies World can capitalize on the growth rate and limited local competition. With a dedicated and skilled staff, outstanding order procurement and effective management, marketing and sales, Baby Nappies World is well-positioned to do so. In Botswana, the initial goal is to distribute sanitary pads and nappies for institutions and organizations such as hospitals and wholesalers.
Initial plans are to produce approximately 300 diapers per hour 5 days a week, utilizing an 8 hour working day, enabling us to produce a total of 48,000 diapers per month. As time progresses and we become more efficient in their production this figure should rise to approximately 56,000 per month. This is for diapers only. However, we plan to make sanitary pads in an order-based manner.
We recognize that in order to thrive in this untapped market, we must be flexible and responsive. Our goal is to please our customers by giving them what they need, when they need it, and in the right quantity. Our primary goal will to establish and enhance our presence on the market. We will do this by being supported by the business environment.
Our marketing strategy will focus primarily on making sure customers are aware of our existence and the products that we make. Hence our intention is to make the right information available to the right target customers. We will do this by implementing a market penetration plan that will make us well-known and respected on the market. We will ensure that our products’ prices are favorable relative to our South African counterparts’ prices, and that our potential customers appreciate the quality of our products. The prices we charge will take into account the cost production and distribution in order to remain financially viable. We are pleased that many wholesalers and intermediaries order South African products. They perceive them to be more reliable and of better quality. To counteract this there will be need for us to not only aggressively market the high quality of our products, but also to go out of our way in serving our customers and clients so as to establish a good long-term relationship.
Our target markets will include institutions, wholesalers or other intermediaries that often order bulk goods for their customers as well as concerned individuals. Hence there will be need to network with the various decision-makers/order-makers to ensure we receive orders for our products.
Our goal is to pay our staff well so that they can retain their invaluable skills and ensure job satisfaction. We also plan to give authority to others to enhance job satisfaction. We aim to maximise productivity while realizing each individual’s full potential by providing excellent health care and generous profit sharing. For hard work and productivity, we will give awards. This will not only show our appreciation but also to promote a sense of humor and high standards.
We expect sales to grow from more than 748,800 in the first year, to more than 1,075,200 the second and to P1,142,000.400 the third year.
Ultimately the attractiveness of our venture lies with the fact that customers will choose our products above those of competitors because of the relatively lower prices as well as their high quality. Baby Nappies World’s ongoing initiatives are to increase sales, market shares and productivity in order to further propel the company towards its goals and objectives.

Our business strategy will revolve around the need to provide quality disposable baby nappies, geriatric/adult diapers and sanitary pads to the various institutions and wholesalers that need them, in the process fully satisfying their requirements. This shall be achieved by providing adequate training and recruiting a professional team to cater for the customer’s needs.
We intend to ensure that our marketing campaign increases the knowledge of our products and services to the various market segments we shall be targeting. This is especially true for companies that strive to increase their profitability by obtaining high quality products at low prices.
